Wear it Pink Day
17 October 2018
Thank you to everyone who has donated to our 'Wear it Pink' appeal. We have a lovely selection of pink stationary, scarves, toiletries, candles and sweets. Families and pupils who would like to donate an item for our raffle should bring it to school with pupils taking it to their Form Tutor or Mrs Harper's Office, next to the Head Teacher's Office. On Friday a team of pupil volunteers will be combining the pink items donated into beautiful hampers and gift sets which will be prizes for our raffle taking place next week.
On Friday 19th October pupils are also donating to wear a pink item with their school uniform with pink. We are looking forward to seeing a wide selection of pink socks, hair clips, scarves, gloves and other accessories. Donations of £1 will be collected on the day, which will also be donated to Breast Cancer Research.
The money we are fund raising in school will be donated to Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity. Breast Cancer Now are dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease and believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live. More information on Wear it Pink and Breast Cancer Now is available at www.wearitpink.org.
