Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef Manager within our Education Sector working in a busy Local Secondary School in the B36 area of Birmingham.

 

The Role:

  • Have the ability to cook to a high standard with relevant qualifications.
  • Prepare and serve quality food at all times using fresh ingredients to produce attractive and tasty meals.
  • Have knowledge of food allergies and menu planning.
  • Ensure all Company policies and procedures are delivered to the highest standard whilst offering support around the business to maintain these standards throughout.
  • Assist Operations Managers with projects and new contract mobilisations.
  • Supporting the Operations Managers with company initiatives and sales presentations where required.
  • Ensure daily bookwork and temperature records are kept up to date as per required standards.
  • Supporting the Operations Managers with training and development within the teams, including the training of new employees to ensure all company standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Order and receive food and supply as required.
  • Must be highly reliable.
  • Good leader as well as team player.

 

Full training and uniform provided.

At the Company's expense we will process an enhanced DBS and apply for references for successful candidates.

Grade 3 - £23,194 - £29,439 (Full Salary)

£20,280 - £26,332 (PRO RATA)

36.50 hours per week

1 Year Fixed Term Contract, Term Time Only 

Expected start date: AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

 

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to provide supervision of our pupils and their work during periods of short-term teacher absence. The successful candidate will take sole charge of groups of children to deliver lessons as set by the teacher, ensure that students are on task and complete the work set. An ability to manage the behaviour in the classroom to ensure a constructive learning environment is a must and support and training in this area will be provided. The post-holder will work closely with teaching staff across a wide range of subject areas across the curriculum. We are looking for applications from adaptable, organised individuals with strong literacy and numeracy skills.

You will already have experience of working in a secondary school and may be looking for a new challenge. You will be confident and assertive individual with strong behaviour management skills to ensure a constructive classroom learning environment, as well as a talent for inspiring and encouraging others. Your duties will include supervising students during periods of absence supervising KS3 & 4 classes in carrying out pre-prepared work.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Assistant Building Services Supervisor. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Site Manager.

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and dedicated team player that can:

  • Maintain safety requirements around the building and grounds.
  • Site Safety and security
  • May include the occasional split shift, and some late night for evening events
  • Follow maintenance programmes.
  • Complete routine repairs and Maintenance work of building and grounds to a high standard.
  • Knowledge of managing site health and safety.
  • COSHH knowledge or a willingness to attend training.
  • Ability to work and liaise with outside contractors.
  • Work effectively in partnership with all stakeholders.
  • Work cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Be resourceful and committed to ensuring the highest possible standards.
  • Display a flexible and practical approach, and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide audience including teaching staff, students and parents, as well as the wider community.
  • Contribute to the life of the school and its community.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

The ability to remain calm under pressure, to prioritise work and identify and act on issues of Health and Safety are essential.
